Paul Bennetts, CRNA, MS

Clinical Instructor
  • Mr. Bennetts completed a Diploma in Nursing in 1979 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BSN from Saint Mary University in 1986.  He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1989 with an MS in Nurse Anesthesia.  At that time he was a co-recipient of the Baxter Outstanding Student Award.  His student thesis research was recognized with the AANA Research in Action Award in 1990.
  • Mr. Bennetts served on active duty in the U.S. Army Reserves in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm.  He worked as a staff anesthetist for nine years at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  He also worked in private CRNA practice for an additional nine years before returning to the University of Kansas to teach and pursue doctoral studies.  He has been a speaker at the AANA national meeting.
  • Mr. Bennetts is currently a clinical instructor in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia Education.  He enjoys working in all clinical areas and is interested in promoting student research.  In his spare time he enjoys family life and pursues hobbies of fly-fishing and golf.
