FINANCIAL AID, STUDENT EMPLOYMENT, AND PROGRAM COSTS

Financial Aid
Due to the intense nature of the program, virtually all students rely primarily on financial aid. There are a few scholarships available to students while in the program. Financial Aid is available primarily in the form of loans.   For more information on financial aid, please visit the KU Medical Center’s Student Financial Aid website at http://www.kumc.edu/studentcenter/financialaid.html.

Student Employment
Learning anesthesia is very demanding therefore student employment is strongly discouraged. Students have a full course schedule and almost all of our students find it impossible to work in addition to the program requirements (SEE BROCHURE -- UNDER EMPLOYMENT). Students should expect to spend up to 70 hours per week dedicated to fulfilling clinic responsibilities, attending classes and studying.
